With the new iOS 14 update, users are now able to create custom icons for their apps.
Follow the instructions below to add a custom icon to your iPhone home screen.

  1. Open the Shortcuts app

2. Add a new shortcut

3. Click the “+ Add Action” Button

4. Click the “Scripting” Button

5. Click the “Open App” Button

6. Choose the app you want to modify.

7. Click the ellipses at the top right of the screen.

8. Click the “Add to Home Screen” Button.

9. Enter the app name, then click the icon.

10. Click the “Choose Photo” Button.

11. Select your icon and click “Add” (Note: if you see any border around the icon, simply zoom in on the photo).

12. The icon is now on your home screen!
